Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 3, 2026
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and name through our authentication provider (Neon Auth). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
To power the product, we store the information you choose to enter: your due date, baby name, birth location and provider type, your birth plan preferences, packing list progress, and saved articles. We understand this is sensitive, personal information and treat it accordingly.
If you purchase BirthPlan Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we store only your Stripe customer reference and the status of your purchase.
How we use it
Your data is used solely to provide the service: building and saving your birth plans, remembering your preferences, and managing your subscription. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate usage of the site (page views, not personal profiles).
Where it lives
Your data is stored in a managed Postgres database (Neon) and protected in transit with TLS. Authentication cookies are used only to keep you signed in — not for tracking.
Your rights: export and deletion
From your account page you can export all data we hold about you as a file, and you can delete your account, which permanently removes your profile, birth plans, packing lists, and saved articles from our database.
If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), these tools cover your access and erasure rights. For anything else — including questions, corrections, or a deletion request you'd rather we handle for you — email support@birthplan.me and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
BirthPlan.me is intended for expecting parents and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email or an in-app notice.
